From Stella Point, it is a final, triumphant walk along the rim to Uhuru Peak. Your Gip Adventure Team guides will assist with capturing the perfect photos, but we advise not lingering too long due to the extreme cold and altitude before beginning your descent.

After your summit celebration, we begin a rapid, controlled descent back toward Barafu for a well-earned break and a quick bite to eat. The descent down the steep, loose volcanic gravel is energy-demanding, but our Gip Adventure Team guides will be there to maintain your pace, ensuring you use your trekking poles correctly to protect your joints and keep your footing secure.

Upon reaching Millennium Camp (3,950m/12,959ft), you will enjoy a final celebratory dinner in the heart of the mountain. You will collapse into your tent, falling into a deep, well-deserved sleep in the comforting, oxygen-rich air of the moorland zone, knowing that you have successfully conquered the highest point on the African continent.

Your final morning is a peaceful, celebratory descent through the lush, vibrant montane forest. This walk back to civilization allows for deep reflection on the incredible journey you have just completed. Upon reaching the Mweka Gate, you will sign out and receive your official Kilimanjaro Summit Certificate.

A Gip Adventure Team vehicle will then transport you back to your hotel in Arusha. After a long-overdue hot shower, a change of clean clothes, and a celebratory lunch with your team, you will have the evening to rest and celebrate your success.

A relaxed breakfast is served at 08:00 AM. With the mountain conquered, you have the morning to share stories with your fellow trekkers, take a final walk in Arusha, or simply relax at the lodge.

Depending on your flight schedule, our professional Gip Adventure Team driver will meet you at the hotel reception and transfer you comfortably to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your international flight home. You leave with the pride of having stood at the Roof of Africa.
