6-Day Exceptional Zanzibar Tour

On arrival at Zanzibar Airport a member of the Gip-Adventure Tours & Safaris team will welcome you with a meet-and-greet service and transfer you comfortably by road to your hotel in Stone Town.

The rest of the day is yours to settle in, take in the sea breeze and wander the waterfront. Enjoy a hearty dinner and a restful first night on the island.

After breakfast at around 08:00 your guide collects you for Jozani Forest Reserve, an enlightening visit and a particular delight for photographers. The forest is home to the endemic red colobus monkey, blue monkeys, both grey and red squirrels and many other species.

Continue to an algae plantation, where our local guides explain how seaweed is farmed along this coast. Lunch and drinks are enjoyed at the Rock Restaurant, set on a rock in the middle of the Indian Ocean, or in the local village of Paje.

Afterwards you return to your hotel for dinner and the night.

After breakfast at around 08:00 your guide takes you to a spice plantation for an exceptional spice tour, introducing the spices and herbs grown on Zanzibar and how they are used both in cooking and as traditional remedies.

Continue to Stone Town, where you will learn, hear, feel and smell the difference as you discover the island's historic places and the stories of slavery, the Old Fort, the carved Zanzibar doors, Freddie Mercury's house, the House of Wonders and more.

Then sail in a traditional wooden boat to Changuu (Prison) Island, enjoy a beer within the walls of the old prison and feed the giant tortoises. Lunch comes with fresh fruit or a local beer, and you return to your hotel for dinner and the night.

Today is all about rest. Begin with a leisurely breakfast at around 08:00, then spend the day soaking up the sun, swimming in the clear waters of the Indian Ocean or lying back on the fine sand of the palm-lined beaches.

If you prefer, simply enjoy the tranquil, serene atmosphere of your hotel. Savour your meals and another night in Stone Town.

A second full day to unwind and recharge at your own pace. After breakfast, return to your favourite stretch of sand, take another swim, or wander Stone Town's alleys and waterfront one last time.

In the evening enjoy a relaxed final dinner and your last night on the island.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel at around 08:00. Depending on your flight schedule, your guide will collect you and transfer you comfortably by road to Zanzibar International Airport to connect with your international flight home.
