You explore the town's alleys and historic sites on foot, spend a day among the less-visited islands and palaces of the sultans, and then simply unwind with a full day of sun, sea and sand before flying home.

You stay all four nights in Stone Town, exploring the old town on foot, sailing out to Changuu and Chapwani islands and visiting the palaces just north of town, before a final day of leisure and your flight home.

Day01Arrival at Zanzibar International Airport and transfer to Stone Town
On arrival at Zanzibar International Airport you will be met by a member of the Gip-Adventure Tours & Safaris team and transferred comfortably by road to your hotel in Stone Town.
What we love about the hotel is its setting in the heart of romantic Stone Town, cooled by the breezes of the Spice Island. It offers sweeping views across the Zanzibar waterfront and direct access to the beach, with rooms ranging from standard rooms to prime rooms and suites. Enjoy a hearty dinner and a restful first night.

Day02Stone Town walking tour
After breakfast at around 08:00 you set out on a day exploring Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Enjoy the mysterious feeling of losing yourself in its narrow alleys, have your hands painted with henna or buy a colourful kanga. Visits to historic sites such as the old slave market and the House of Wonders make the day truly exceptional.

Day03Prison Island, Chapwani Island and the Maruhubi and Mtoni palaces
After breakfast at around 08:00 you are collected by your guide for a day among places that are less visited but full of history: Changuu (Prison) Island, Chapwani Island, and the Maruhubi and Mtoni palaces.
Lunch is enjoyed on one of the islands before you return to your hotel for dinner and the night.

Day04Leisure and relaxation
This day is devoted entirely to rest and relaxation. Begin with a leisurely breakfast at around 08:00, then spend the day soaking up the sun, swimming in the clear waters of the Indian Ocean, lying back on the fine sand of the palm-lined beaches or enjoying the tranquil, serene atmosphere of your hotel.
It is the perfect chance to unwind and recharge. Savour your meals and a final night in Stone Town.

Day05Departure from Zanzibar Airport
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel at around 08:00. Depending on your flight schedule, your driver-guide will collect you and transfer you comfortably by road to Zanzibar Airport for your onward international flight.
