Ngorongoro & Empakaai Craters Helicopter Package

Discover the natural beauty of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area from the air. This scenic helicopter flight departs from Kilimanjaro International Airport, Moshi Airport or Arusha Airport and flies over the Ngorongoro landscapes, its archaeological sites and waterfalls, the Ngorongoro Crater and the Empakaai Crater.

From above, the Ngorongoro Crater is a spectacular sight: a natural amphitheatre surrounded by steep walls rising more than 600 metres from the crater floor. The flight takes around 45 minutes each way in a state-of-the-art, air-conditioned four-passenger helicopter, and includes a 30-minute champagne picnic below Mount Kilimanjaro. Throughout the flight you can listen to a recorded commentary on the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and its surroundings through audio headphones.

Morning and afternoon flights are available. Our flights are led by expert pilots with decades of experience between them, specialists in helicopter safaris throughout sub-Saharan Africa who hold both FAA and KCAA commercial pilots' licences and are qualified flight instructors. A minimum of four guests applies to helicopter safaris in Tanzania, and each aircraft carries up to four adults or two adults and three children, with luggage limited to 15 kg per person in soft bags only.
