4-Day Serengeti Luxury Fly-In Safari

After breakfast at around 08:00 your driver guide transfers you to Arusha Airport for your scheduled flight to Seronera airstrip in the central Serengeti. Your safari driver guide meets you on landing and drives you to your camp for lunch.

In the afternoon you set out on your first game drive through the central Serengeti, known for its great concentrations of wildlife, from large herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, topi and warthog to a healthier population of predators than almost any other protected area in Africa. All of the Big Five roam freely here.

Return to your camp for a memorable first dinner and a night in the African bush.

After breakfast at around 08:00 you venture deep into the Serengeti for a full day of game drives. In the rains the grasslands become a green carpet; in the dry season they turn a deep brown under the scorching sun, and the wildlife viewing is exceptional throughout the year.

Depending on the season, you may be surrounded by vast herds of wildebeest and zebra. At the right time of year they gather on the banks of the 395-kilometre Mara River, which rises in central Kenya and flows into Lake Victoria, one of Africa's great lakes, and plunge across while giant Nile crocodiles wait beneath the surface. The weak and the stragglers fall to the predators that follow the herds.

After a picnic lunch on the plains you return to your camp for dinner and the night.

A second full day of game drives lets you explore new corners of the Serengeti with your guide: the kopjes where lions rest, the riverine woodland favoured by leopards and the open plains where cheetahs hunt.

The Serengeti is home to the Big Five and to the scavengers that follow them, and every drive brings new scenes. Relish every moment, enjoy hearty meals in the bush, and spend a final night at your camp under the Serengeti sky.

After breakfast, and depending on your flight schedule, you enjoy a short scenic game drive across the central Serengeti, taking in its rolling landscapes and endless sunlit plains one last time.
