Overview
Stanley's Kopje Camp is the only camp in Mikumi National Park set on a rocky kopje, presiding over the park's finest game viewing area around the Mwanamboga waterhole.
The camp offers a unique blend of explorer-era romance and modern comfort, providing uninterrupted 360-degree views across the vast Mkata flood plain to the Udzungwa mountains on the horizon.
Named after the great explorer Henry Morton Stanley, who rested in these very lands in 1871, the camp's twelve tented suites, infinity pool and waterhole-side position make it ideal for travellers seeking an intimate, all-inclusive safari far from anyone else.

Stanley's Kopje is located inside Mikumi National Park, set on the only elevated ground (a rocky kopje) on the vast Mkata flood plain. Around thirty kilometres from the nearest camp, it overlooks the Mwanamboga waterhole, the park's best game viewing area, and is reached by a short bush-plane hop from Dar es Salaam or via the park's airstrip after a four-hour drive.
